Designing for youth is less about simplification and more about clarity—building visual languages that are immediate, expressive, and adaptable.

This work explores graphic systems as living worlds—capable of extending across product, from apparel to accessories to environment, while maintaining coherence and character.

World Building

Each collection begins as a contained visual world—defined by color, motif, and tone. Rather than designing isolated graphics, the approach focuses on building a flexible visual language & establishing a clear emotional tone.

This creates a system that can expand across product and allows the work to scale without losing identity.

Graphic Language

Graphics are developed as modular elements—capable of shifting in scale, density, and placement depending on the product.

Key considerations are Immediate readability, strong silhouette interaction, & flexibility across age and product. The result is a system that feels cohesive but not repetitive.

Print Systems

Prints are designed to operate as part of a broader system, allowing for variation while maintaining cohesion: tight repeats for everyday wear, bolder patterns for statement pieces, & color continuity across styles

This supports both individual product clarity and assortment-level storytelling.

Beyond Apparel

The graphic system extends into the surrounding environment—transforming from garment to object. Applications include soft goods and bedding, stationery and giftable items, & lifestyle environments.

Each translation requires recalibration of scale, density, and material response while preserving the original visual language.

Process

Development begins with broad visual exploration, followed by system refinement and application across product categories.

The focus is on building enough flexibility into the system to allow expansion, while maintaining a clear and recognizable identity.
